KRISTI + DAVE | ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN ROCKY RIDGE, MARYLAND

Kristi & Dave are two of the coolest people I have ever met, seriously. They were both hilarious and we had such a good time at the family farm. All three of us are terrified of snakes, and we spent the entire session clapping, yelling and watching where we stepped to be sure we didn’t run into one. Two minutes after I left, I got a phone call from Kristi saying there was a huge 6-foot black snake in the big tree in the front yard! Gross! Glad I never saw it& luckily, we never saw one during the session. Combine that with gorgeous light and an amazing couple, and you wind up with some of my favorite images to date. Can’t wait for your wedding in September!

SARAH + DUSTIN | ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT LINGANORE WINECELLARS

I went to high school with both Sarah and Dustin, so of course I was thrilled when Dustin contacted me about shooting their wedding! Dustin and I had some classes together – I never had the pleasure of meeting Sarah until our engagement shoot, but I loved them both! They were so open to any ideas had (PERFECT!) and were so easy to work with. Even though we all went to high school together, Dustin actually met Sarah in college through mutual friends. That just shows it was meant to beI can’t wait for your wedding this summer guys!

DESIREE | SENIOR SESSION IN POINT OF ROCKS, MARYLAND

I love senior sessions! It’s always fun to get more fun, edgy photos than the typical cap-and-gown shots. I try to make all of my seniors feel like a supermodel, and Desiree did not disappoint. The camera loves this girl and she was super fun to photograph. We had a great time finding cool locations on her family farm. Isn’t she gorgeous?!

CARLY | SENIOR SESSION IN POINT OF ROCKS, MARYLAND

Isn’t Carly just the cutest thing?! I had a great time photographing her senior portraits. We were in knee high weeds, stomping through fields and railroad tracks on her best friend’s family farm, trying to give her and Desiree (her post is coming soon!) the best senior photos at MiddletownCarly was such a trooper – there were sticker plants everywhere and the bugs where permanently attached to all of us. When I was a senior, there is no way I would have touched a field like that, let alone fight off bugs! Thank you so much Carly for staying in there and allowing me to get such amazing shots!

MICHELLE + JASON | YOUNG LOVE SESSION IN HAGERSTOWN

Michelle always said that she never had any photos of her and Jason together – she was always the one taking the photos. So Jason decided to surprise Michelle with a session for Christmas. What a good boyfriend! This couple gave me free reign to go wherever I wanted and try some new things…and I am so glad that we did! I love the results and am so happy to share these with you. Of course, Michelle being drop dead gorgeous kinda makes me feel like I’m cheating.

We started off the session at Cortland Mansion in Hagerstown, which provided some gorgeous indoor light. If you are looking to get married around Hagerstown, you must take a look at Cortland Mansion. The facility is beautiful and the staff is such a pleasure to work with! Also, if you book your wedding reception with them, you get a free engagement session from Amanda Helfrick Photography!
